where to study automobile technology
Sena Automobile Technology Program meets strict industry standards and is certified. Nationwide, only a small percentage of educational institutions achieve this certification in all eight automobile specialty areas and Alternative Fuels.
At Southern Illinois University Carbondale, we offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Automobile Technology. This degree is designed to provide an education environment for students to acquire the professional, research, and technical skills necessary for success in the automotive and related industries. The degree provides theoretical and practical along with as English, tics, ethics and occupational health.

The Qualified Instructors
The members of our instructional staff sena have extensive industry experience and factory training. All instructors are certified.
you learn?
this distributed in two stages: collective (2640 hours) and production (880 hours),program, you learn how to diagnose, maintain and repair domestic and foreign automobile. You will also find out how to troubleshoot problems of all kinds, using the latest engine analyzers, handheld scanners and other computerized diagnostic equipment.
You learn everything from basic engine systems to computerized fuel injection, anti-lock brakes, passenger restraint systems, computerized engine controls and much more.

Become a central player for a racing team or in the car industry
As an Automobile Technologist, you will be both up to date with new technology and be able to communicate it to you colleagues. You will become the link between racing car drivers, mechanics, designers, sponsors and all the other stakeholders involved in keeping racing teams or the automobile industry top tuned.

The judges assigned the more complex diagnostic tasks, the most advanced vehicles, and those incorporating the latest technologies. This person may rapidly progress to more senior roles as trainer, supervisor, planner and/or manager.
